In addition to the workshop provided for the children and teens, parents are offered an opportunity to learn about what their children are learning at no extra charge. Parents meet in the mornings between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon. Denise is able to join them and give an outline of what the children are getting out of the experience and how parents can carry forward learning from KITS into home life. Toby Macklin will facilitate further discussions with the parents once Denise rejoins the children in the children s workshop. Feedback from parents about Window to your child has been very positive. Parents report that the experience has greatly enhanced the value of the whole experience for the whole family.

Of note is the fact that along with the usual group of parents, many grandparents are now bringing their grandchildren to KITS and frequently join Window to your child. Grandparents tell us that KITS is an ideal way for them to connect with their grandchildren and build special memories. The children are fully occupied, but still have meals and breaks with their grandparents. They share a cabin together and the grandchildren delight in performing in the show for their grandparents.
